Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 29, 2026 · Last updated: June 29, 2026
LIDIA ("LIDIA", "we", "us") is an AI scheduling assistant that connects to your Google Calendar to read your availability, negotiate meeting times on your behalf, and create calendar events you approve. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using LIDIA you agree to this policy.
Who we are
LIDIA is operated by Diego Cibils. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@lidia.cx.
Data we collect
- Account & identity — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture (via the
openid, userinfo.email, anduserinfo.profilescopes) to create and identify your account. - Calendar availability — we read your free/busy information and your list of calendars (via
calendar.readonly) to know when you are available. We use this to compute your availability and your meeting-load metrics. - Calendar events — we create, read, and update the calendar events that LIDIA schedules for you (via
calendar.events). LIDIA only manages events it is involved in booking. - Scheduling content — meeting preferences, working hours, meeting types, and the messages exchanged during a scheduling conversation (with you or with the person you are scheduling with).
- Optional channels — if you connect a channel such as Telegram, we store the identifier needed to deliver messages to you on that channel.
- Usage data — basic technical logs (such as request timestamps and aggregate AI token usage) used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How we use your data
- To provide the core service: read your availability, propose times, negotiate with the other party, and create events you approve.
- To generate your meeting-load score, daily briefings, and scheduling suggestions.
- To process scheduling conversations using AI. Message content needed for a scheduling task is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), solely to produce the assistant's responses.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not use your Google user data to train generalized AI/ML models.
Google API Services User Data Policy. LIDIA's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the minimum scopes needed, use the data solely to provide and improve the scheduling features you can see, and do not transfer it to others except as required to provide the service, comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
What we share with the people you schedule with
When LIDIA negotiates a meeting on your behalf, the other party (or their own assistant) sees only what is needed to agree on a time: your name, the proposed time slots, and the meeting subject. LIDIA does not reveal the details of your other calendar events — only that a given slot is free or busy.
Sharing & subprocessors
We share data only with service providers that help us run LIDIA, under agreements that limit their use of the data:
- Google — calendar and identity APIs.
- Anthropic — the AI model that powers the assistant.
- DigitalOcean — cloud hosting for our application and database.
- Telegram — only if you connect it as a messaging channel.
We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of LIDIA and its users.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you disconnect Google Calendar, we stop accessing your calendar and delete the stored authorization tokens. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
Data security
Your data is stored on access-controlled servers. Authorization tokens are stored server-side and are never exposed to other users or to the people you schedule with. Connections to LIDIA are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your rights & choices
- Revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page, or by disconnecting Google Calendar inside LIDIA.
- Access, correct, or delete your data by contacting us at hello@lidia.cx.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those requests.
Children
LIDIA is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
